Larry Pollock is President of
Chief Executive Forum
(CEF) and CEO Exchange.

   He has organized and facilitated
chief executive groups since 1986.

From 1975 to 1985 Mr. Pollock was CEO, Phoenix Center, Sterling Heights, MI, a private mid-size outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment clinic offering services to youth, adults, and families. The Center grew by more than seven-fold under his leadership.
From 1968 to 1972 Mr. Pollock was a ground electronics officer in the U.S. Air Force. From 1968 to 1970 he managed a department of 90 technical staff who installed ground electronics equipment at Air Force operating units throughout the Pacific Area. From 1970 to 1972 he lead technical teams who inspected the maintenance of ground electronics equipment at 25 Air Force operating units throughout the southern half of the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for leadership excellence and was honorably discharged as a Captain.
Mr. Pollock has an M.B.A. Degree (Accounting) and an M.S.W. Degree (Administration) from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI (1981), and Washington University, St. Louis, MO (1975), respectively. He earned a B.S. Degree (Psychology and Mathematics emphasis) from the University of Iowa (1967). He is published on the subject of managing terminal illness in the American Journal of Hospice Care (Summer 1984) and American Funeral Director (July 1984). He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary business society for academic excellence.
Mr. Pollock has also participated in various outdoor adventure activities. Parent-Child Outward Bound Courses with his three sons: whitewater rafting in Colorado and Utah, dog-sledding and winter camping in Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota (temperatures ranged between 20 and 40 below), and mountaineering in the North Cascades in Washington State. And, finally, in December 2004 he and his three sons did a 440-ft. bungee jump at one of A.J. Hackett's facilities in Queenstown, New Zealand.
